Syed Sibghatullah Shah Rashidi, the elder son of Late Pir
Syed Mardan Shah II or Pir Pagara, has been named the 8th Pir (spiritual
leader) of the Hur Jamaat.
The decision was taken in a meeting of Khalifas of Hur
Jamaat from Pakistan and India, held in Pir Jo Goth.
Dastarbandi of new Pir Pagara was made after announcement of
the name of Pir Sabghatullah Shah as the successor of Late Pir Pagara.
Earlier, a meeting of 15 Khalifas of Hur Jamaat including
the Chief Khalifa was held to elect the new Pir.
Late Pir Pagara has four sons i.e. Pir Sibghatullah Shah
Rashdi, Pir Sadruddin Shah Rashdi, Pir Ali Gohar Shah Rashdi and Pir Hizbullah
Shah Rashdi.
A source in the Hur Jamaat said that there is a ‘Dargah Committee’, which comprises of 14 ‘Dargah Chokis’ with ‘Khalifas’ as their heads, adding “One of the 14 Khalifas is the Chief Khalifa, a position currently held by Faqir Qadir Bux Mangrio.
